Slendertone Well-rounded Beauty Award: Ella Koon
Men's Skin Centre by Bella New Generation Extraordinary Charisma Award: William Chan
Svenson Healthy Hair Award: Moses Chan

Personal Note: Congratulations to all of the winners, even though some are more deserving than others. Special shout out to Charmaine for making it in the top 10 for nine consecutive years! Just one more year and she will be tied with Bobby! She is definitely going to break Bobby's record for consecutively being in top 10. :)

Extremely happy that Ron is back in the top 10! I personally think that he could have placed a couple of spots higher though. He he.... :P

IMO, Myolie Wu should have taken Bosco Wong's place. Her performance in "A Chip Off the Old Block" received more positive feedback compared to Bosco's performance in "Burning Flame III".

Like many, I was quite surprised that Michael Tse did not make it into the top 10. Laughing Gor is more popular than Michael Tse. This proves that the HK audience is easy at forgetting. On the other hand, Susan Tse is popular, as voters love her and her characters!

Raymond Lam did not make it into the top 10 because he did not have any series aired in 2009. He was nominated for 'Svenson Healthy Hair Award' alongside Bowie Lam, Moses Chan, and Michael Tse. Moses is the spokesperson for this product. ;)

Ngo Ka Nin should have won 'Most Promising Male Artiste' over William Chan. He thinks he is so good at singing, dancing, and acting. 懶巴閉! Yet, he does not excel in any of those. He is especially not good at responding to questions. He should think before he answers questions regarding other people.

  1. I'm surprise to see that Raymond or Kevin is not on the Top 10 TV Artistes.

  2. Raymond didn't air any series in 2009. Kevin was bashed like crazy for all his roles. I'm just surprised Laughing didn't get anything.

    Happy for Ron and Bosco!

  4. im glad linda is at least on the list, and didnt drop from last year. even tho she only had 1 series to air in 2009. Raymond wasnt on it because he didnt even have any series in 2009.

  5. Cringe!!!! How did William Chan get Men's Skin Centres by Bella New Generation Extraordinary Charisma Award over Kenneth??????? I don't think William has charisma. Probably just his fans voting.

  6. I am so surprised that Ray was not in the Top 10. What happen to his fans?

  7. Ray was nominated as I saw his name in the list. He was the 1st last year. How thing change so fast?

  8. Most Promising Male Artiste: William Chan
Most Promising Female Artiste: Elanne Kong

pretty surprised that Michael Tse didn't get into the top 10 artiste but the list is still ok...

I'm pretty sure that Raymond Lam was nominated for the sponsor catergories but not in the top 10 artistes as he had no series in 2009... its ok, he'll be there next year for sure!!!

can't wait for more photos to come out!!!

  9. To KLCB & Jenny:

In order to be nominated for Top 10 TV Artistes, they must have a series aired. Raymond did not have any series aired in 2009. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that he is not in top 10.

As for Kevin Cheng, totally agree with Anonymous, as Kevin Cheng did not receive any positive feedback for his performances in "Burning Flame III" nor in "Beyond the Realm of Conscience".

The only time Kevin Cheng made it in top 10 was in 2007, and he was placed 4th.

    To artbox:

Moses is the spokesperson for Svenson. He won the same award last year. :)

Ron was very mature when he took pictures with both Ella and Elanne. Ron is all grown up now! (tear) ;)

    To stellaa:

Yes, Linda was also 6th last year. Hopefully, she'll climb up next year. :)

    To Anonymous:

William Chan is also a spokesperson for Men's Skin Centres by Bella along with Kenneth and Amigo Choi. Kenneth won that award last year. I cringe, too, as I DO NOT like him at all!

    To sandalls:

Agree, Raymond will definitely be in top 10 next year.

It's so funny because remember in 2008 the media was hyping that Raymond was going to win 'Best Actor' and all of that. But, true fans knew that wasn't true as he didn't film series to be released in 2009. The dumb media should do their homework before they make up stories.

I am still gathering the magazine pictures. ;)

  10. I'm happy to see that You're Hired placed third in top 10 programmes :D it would've been better if it was higher on the list, it was my top series for 2009. congratulations to tavia, charmaine, sheren, wayne and the top winners.

wow. charmaine has been placed top 10 for 9 consecutive years? she'll definitely make a 10+ record. her dress with the big black bow was cute.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah, I was kinda surprised Michael was not listed as Top 10 considering how popular he was in 2009. HK audiences are really fickle, I guess.

    And yay to Charmaine's 9th listing :D

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks for ur explanation, hyn5. Ray was so popular that it surprised me that he was not in. I actually thought he would win the 'hair' award.

    ReplyDelete
  13. To turtle88:

Couldn't have agreed with you more! ;)

I know, I think Charmaine's picture is way more elegant compared to the other winner's picture.

10th year next year baby! :D

    To sehseh:

It may also have something to do with the fact that probably Next Magazine is biased towards Michael Tse. I can't remember if it was Next Magazine that smeared him with that negative news. I mean, come on, how can Laughing not make it in top 10, yet Bosco and Fala can? I'm pretty sure that Laughing's popularity surpasses both of them.

    Also, happy for Charmaine's 10th year. :)

    To Jenny:

Moses has been winning that award ever since I can remember. Anne Heung was the one who won it before him. And, Anne has not been acting since 2007. So, it wasn't a surprise to me that Moses won. :)

  14. It was indeed Next together with its "sister" Face (all part of the AppleDaily group) that slandered Michael Tse last Sep. They were slapped with a lawyer's letter I believe. No love there obviously.

    ReplyDelete
  15. To blah:

Any magazine that falsify news deserves to receive letters from lawyers.

  16. IN TOTAL AGREEMENT about William Chan, no love there for him. I don't think he is as talented as they say he is.
And you said what was exactly on my mind hyn5, I thought that Myolie did a rather good job in A Chip of the Old block. Too bad she doesn't have many fans as she tends to overact.
By the way am I the only one who found Linda's photoshoot really cute? Her in such chic dress wearing football sports shoes and goalkeeper gloves.

  17. To Anonymous:

A lot of people feel that way about William Chan.

He is very rude, has no manners, and he thinks he's all that.

Andy Lau said recently that he witnessed an arrogant youngen in the make-up room being very rude to a crew member. The youngen was wearing very tight shoes, so he instructed the crew member to take it off for him. Andy said that he will never work this youngen. Andy didn't reveal that person's name, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's William Chan.

    ReplyDelete
  18. WOW, I knew he always comes off cocky when he is performing but never knew he was that arrogant.

Who is he to ask someone to take his shoes off for him?
Well we'll see how long he lasts in the business

He instructed a backstage crew member to take his shoe off for him.

"Well we'll see how long he lasts in the business"

    Touche to that!

  20. Yay for Ron.

Think someone else should have replace Bosco, his 2009 performance is nothing extraordinary. This leads me to thinking that it's another TVB tactic to promote Bosco in 2010 again, though Next magazine and TVB are 2 different things. Sorry Bosco fans, but I'm sure there are more deserving winners.

  21. i peacefully happy for beyond the realm of conscience to be won number one spot. It is my top series for me.

  22. To eng samnang:

"You're Hired" and "A Chip Off the Old Block" should have been the top two spots. :D

  23. i don't know why tvb promote bosco so heavily.
