Nelson Cheung Kin Man entered TVB in 1985, and was promoted to a producer position in 1989. His works include "One Step Beyond", "Love Is Beautiful", "Dicey Business", "D.I.E.", "You're Hired", etc., which have received ideal ratings and positive feedback.

When mentioning current rising artistes, Nelson believes that, out of the new siu sangs, Kenneth Ma's acting is the most sturdy. Out of the new fa dans, he thinks highly of Tavia Yeung. He said, "I have worked with many of the new siu sangs, and they all have their own charisma. However, when it comes to acting, it is definitely Kenneth who is the most sturdy. Perhaps it is because he knows he has to take the road of a character actor. As for new fa dans, Tavia is a working solider type whom you can mold and flatten. You can give her any character, and she will play it to the best of her ability for you. I have watched her improve step by step".

Personal Note: The same siu sang and fa dan received praises from TVB producers! Yeah! :D

Also, Nelson has worked with all of the five new siu sangs (i.e., Raymond Lam, Sammul Chan, Bosco Wong, Kenneth Ma, and Ron Ng). ;) However, he hasn't worked with many new fa dans.

  1. WOW another producer that loves both Ma Ming and Ah Yi!!! Its always nice to hear what the producers think of the artistes, because they are the ones that know them behind closed doors...

  2. hopefully MaYi will soon cooperate again and good to hear that they are getting praises from diff producers, and esp. for Ma Ming because now when i re-watch some old dramas, i kinda shocked to see him play some really minor roles, like this morning, i saw him in The Last Breakthrough, i was like, OMG-_-

It is always good to hear praises from others, especially from producers. :)

A lot of producers also praise Charmaine for her professionalism and her work ethic. :)

He he.... Ma Ming was considered a guest appearance in "The Last Breakthrough", as he was paired up with Candy Lo. :)

In the past few years, Ma Ming still played minor roles in series. He tells producers to cast him in anything, but executives do not like that, as he is already a siu sang. When he was filming "Man in Charge", he went to the next set and played a passerby in "Word Twisters' Adventures". However, I've never watched the series, so I'm not sure which part he came out. :D

  4. Really? He played a passerbu in Word Twisters' Adventures? I didn't watch it either, that would've been neat to see... haha. Kenneth :) The latest ones I've seen would be his guest appearance in Don Juan DeMercado and 72 Tenants. Very short appearances :P

I remember watching some old series and seeing him, it was cool. He kept on re-appearing in Virtues of Harmony as different minor characters :D

Yeah, Ma Ming came from a long way. So, I am very happy that he is now recognized for his efforts. :)

I find it quite amusing that Raymond, Tavia, Ron, Sammul, Ma Ming, and Bosco were once passerbys in TVB series. He he.... Happy for them now. :D
