Catherine Tsang Wants Cast of "Rosy Business" to Film Another Series

A dinner party of 40 tables was held last night to watch the last two episodes of "Rosy Business". Sheren Tang couldn't hold back her tears when Wayne Lai's character, Chai Gau, died in front of everybody's eyes. "I still miss Chai Gau!" Susan Tse and Suki Chui were also touched by the ending. Since the characters of Wayne and Sheren did not end up, Wayne hopes that he and Sheren will have a chance to film a new series together.

Catherine Tsang says that "Rosy Business" would not be having a sequel, but would consider using the same cast to film another series. Last night, some audience members think that Sheren should win 'Best Actress' for this series to make up for 'Yue Fei''s loss. Catherine says, "In this world, you cannot turn back time. The award needs to coordinate many variables, such as voting. However, this time, Sheren has a chance!"

Personal Note: The biggest reason why Sheren lost to Gigi in 2004 was because Catherine supported Gigi to win (Virginia Lok apparently had Sheren's back). You can say that Gigi is like a 'goddaughter' to Catherine.

  1. Let's hope that the new series won't be like MR (sorry to MR fans!).

Do you think that the new series will be a modern one? :D

  2. At first I did, but there is no way it will be a modern. If TVB does film another series with the same cast, it will either be pre-modern or ancient again. Ha ha...

  3. I want Wayne to get Best Actor! but I doubt they would give him an award again this year.. Go Sheren!

  4. Too much pre-modern series lately. And the hairstyle is horrible.

If it's Qing series (Lee Tim Seng specialty) then the male cast have to shave bald again.

But then again, LTS does occasionally film modern series.

  5. if another series, will TVB sign a new contract with LTS? or it will have new producer?

and i thought, Lok ranks higer than Catherine, so why did the latter have more says about awards?

  6. To AC: Wayne Lai is considering in signing TVB. He still might have a chance. But, since he won 'Best Supporting Actor' last year, will TVB give him 'Best Actor' this year?

To sehseh: I don't know why TVB is filming so much pre-modern right now. I'm not really a fan of them.

To Noah: In order for another series to be filmed with the same cast, it "HAS" to be the same producer. Lee Tim Sing said that he will not stop working, maybe he isn't retiring this year. But, he can still get the 'Distiguished Achievement' award this year.

Miss Lok is artiste/resource department, and Catherine is drama department.

  8. That was only Nelson Cheung Kin Man and Kwan Wing Chung. Kwan Wing Chung didn't produce "Wars of In-laws II" because he did "Survivor's Law II" instead. Cheung and Kwan have similar behind-the-scenes peoples, such as, writers, directors, etc.

Tommy Leung produced "Survivor's Law". Kwan Wing Chung produced "Survivor's Law II". Kwan was a writer in part one.
